The linen coat is a nice touch, really.

2008 NBA Draft Fashion Round-Up
Well, since there weren't very many impeccably dressed dudes during this year's NBA Draft, I'll just save the space for the ones that stood out and deserved recognition for their aesthetic accomplishments.
Best Dressed:
OJ Mayo, Memphis Grizzlies via Minesota Timberwolves

Two words: details and fit. OJ Mayo definitely gets it, the kid really knows how to throw down a mean suit. His suit was expertly tailored and fitted, a breath of fresh air in the sports world's on-going trend of eyesore worthy baggyness. Notice the little details as well - peak lapels, oft colored collar shirt, 3 piece suit, sateen fabric, gold time piece and my favorite, the complimenting pocket square. I love how he didn't have his pocket square exactly match his tie! That mistake was made by a number of draftees that night, as was a disturbing trend. For the most part, save for a few instances, a man's pocket square should not directly match his tie, it should compliment it. OJ's a definitely a sartorial winner, let's hope it pans out for him on the court!

Honorable Mentions:
DJ Augustin, Charlotte Bobcats
Another 3 piece bandit, solid look, not too outstanding, but solid.
Brandon Rush, Indiana Pacers via Portland Trailblazers
LOVE the suit. Tie's OK. HATE HATE HATE the seemingly matching pocket square.
Jerryd Bayless, Portland Trailblazers via Indiana Pacers
Jerryd effectively rockin' the cream on cream. Lookin' sharper than a Ginsu, word.
'A' For Effort 'F' For Fugly:
Eric Gordon, Los Angeles Clippers
Dude, next time, opt for the solid black tie and black shirt and ditch the pocket square. He tried to go classic but got off at the corner of corny and cheezy.

GQ's 50 Most Stylish Men of the Past 50 Years
GQ's 50 Most Stylish Men of the Past 50 Years
Really a great and pretty much accurate article on duh, the most stylish men of the past 50 years, according to GQ Magazine. Although I would have liked to see some others in there such as Clyde Frazier, Kanye West, Cary Grant, David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Jeremy Piven, Common, Mos Def and maybe even Matt Lauer. Though such names missed the final 50, I do understand they were up against some stiff competition. Take a look and judge for yourself.

COAT!
With the onset of the Fall season I'm glad to see the sight of awesome coats startin' to pop out. Here's an example of one. I'm a sucker for houndstooth!
